Shows I am watching now

Game of thrones gets *****. This show is terrible and wonderful. I love to watch it and it loves to hurt me.

True blood gets ***. I like this show and I will tell you why. Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard). That's all.

I give Arrow **** because I love anything superhero related and Stephen Amell is beautiful.

Avatar the legend of Korra gets **** for art and story. I haven't finished the original Avatar series yet but it is very good as well.

Beauty & the beast gets ***. The acting is tolerable and the story is nothing special but I'm a sucker for romance. (I loved the original Beauty & the beast t.v. show with Linda Hamilton & Ron Perlman.)

Castle gets ****. Love the characters and I am a crime show junkie. Plus Nathan Fillion is lovely and amazing.

Continuum gets ***. Story is good and the show has some neat special effects. I want a bit more from the characters but overall I am enjoying it.

Copper gets ****1/2. Great acting and story is gripping. Tom Weston-Jones and Kevin Ryan are beautiful to look at and I love anything BBC.

Defiance gets ***1/2. A good story with a fun cast. I tend to like anything science fiction or fantasy and their is plenty to like in this show.

Doctor Who gets **********. Yes, that was ten stars. This is my favorite show ever. Wonderful cast that is always changing. Incredible story that has been going for fifty years. LOVE IT!

Elementary gets ****. I love anything to do with Sherlock Holmes. Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu bring this show to life and make a fun duo.

Graceland gets ***. This is a crime show but not a case by case one. It follows undercover cops etc. I like it okay and the cast is pretty good. I'll see how it goes.

Grimm gets ****. This is a fun supernatural show with a great cast. Nick (David Giuntoli) and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) are my favorite characters and they are a great team in the show.

Hannibal gets ***1/2. Spot on cast and a very disturbing story. I am liking it so far but I'm not sure where it's going yet. I'm in wait and see mode with this one.

King and Maxwell gets ***. My very favorite part of this show is Edgar (Ryan Hurst). An amazing and very unique character.

Law & Order SVU gets ****. One of my favorite crime shows and it has Mariska Hargitay. Need I say more.

Lost girl gets ***. Fun supernatural show with a pretty cast. Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) is my favorite part of this show. Great character who makes me laugh every episode.

Mistresses gets **. I couldn't tell you why I am watching this show. I may just stop, I don't know yet.

Motive gets **. Crime show in reverse. I am not loving the cast but it's a new show so I will give it a bit longer to grow on me.

NCIS gets ****. I came into this show just recently and I love it already. Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Tony (Michael Weatherly) are so fun to watch and it's a crime show.

Once upon a time gets ****. Great cast and I love anything with fairy tales. Wonderful mix of reality and fairy tale flashbacks. Pure fun. (I love, love, love Hook *Colin O'Donoghue*.)

Orphan black gets ****. It's BBC and it's such a cool story. Tatiana Maslany is crazy talented. You have to watch the show to understand what I mean.

Primeval new world gets ***1/2. I really liked the original but I think I like this one better. Dinosaurs and fun. Plus some really cute guys.

Revolution gets ***1/2. Good story and some cool characters. I like it and I hope it will last but I'm not sure it will.

Ripper street gets ****1/2. Very cool cast and great story. I love Matthew Macfadyen who plays Edmund Reid. Crime show in London 1889. Gritty and wonderful.

Scandal gets *****. Politics and crime show all mixed together. Amazing cast and the story is killer. One of my very favorites.

Sherlock gets *****. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Need I say more. I think not. BBC and perfect!

Sinbad gets **. I like it and I'm not really sure why. The cast is okay and the story is also okay. It hasn't blown me away yet but I will still watch it just for fun.

The following gets ****. Creepy story where everyone dies, well not everyone. Kevin Bacon is very cool in this role.

The good wife gets ***1/2. The cast is great and the story is good. I should probably give it four stars but for some reason I don't love it as much as some of the others.

Shows I'm going to watch

*********************************************************************************

Law & Order: Criminal Intent

I just finished watching all ten seasons of L&O Criminal Intent and I loved, loved, loved them. I am a sucker for crime shows in general but sometimes all it takes is a special character/characters to elevate a show for me. In this show it is all about Detective Goren played by the amazing Vincent D'onofrio. The man is simply beautiful. He is also crazy talented and I couldn't take my eyes off him. I am also a fan of his partner Detective Eames played by the beautiful Kathryn Erbe. The partners have great chemistry and I never tired of watching them catch the bad guys. I only wish that Goren and Eames were in every episode but sadly they weren't. I highly recommend this show to anyone who loves to see the criminals get what's coming to them.

"COPPER", BBC AMERICA

First I should tell you that I love anything BBC. My favorite show in the whole world is "Doctor Who"! So as you can imagine when I saw the previews for Copper I was very excited. Copper is a show about a group of cops in New York City (Year 1864). It's a crime drama full of grit and lovely dark characters. The main character is Kevin Corcoran a one time soldier and boxer turned detective. Kevin came back from the war to find his wife missing and his young daughter murdered. He spends all his time solving crimes and searching for his wife. Corcoran is played by the very sexy Tom Weston-Jones and I absolutely love him! Kevin's friends and fellow coppers are Francis Maguire (Kevin Ryan) and Andrew O'Brien (Dylan Taylor).

We are only two episodes in but I am in love with it already. It is one of those shows that keeps your full attention and when the episode ends you want to watch it all over again. Go to this link to check it out... http://www.bbcamerica.com/copper/  You are gonna love this!!!!

EQUILIBRIUM

About two weeks ago Equilibrium came in the mail from Netflix. I don't really remember when I put it in my queue but I was excited to watch it because I love Christian Bale. First let me tell you that I am the type of person who will watch t.v. and movies while I am doing other things. Sometimes I read, or I'm on the computer, or I fold laundry, etc. It is rare that I sit down and just watch a movie unless I go to the theater to see it. That being said, from the moment this movie started till it ended I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I loved the futuristic setting of this movie and I also found it terrifying. Christian did an exceptional job with his very complex character and the boy who played his young son was also excellent! This movie was full of seemingly simple moments that I found extremely beautiful. It has some shooting scenes in it that felt a bit like the Matrix. (I like the Matrix movies but I liked this one better)  I watched it again the very next night and I was sad to send it back. I will be purchasing my own copy in the next week or so.

The film follows John Preston (Bale), a warrior-priest and enforcement officer in a future dystopia where both feelings and artistic expression are outlawed and citizens take daily injections of drugs to suppress their emotions. After accidentally missing a dose, Preston begins to experience emotions which make him question his own morality and moderate his actions, while attempting to remain undetected by the suspicious society in which he lives. Ultimately he aids a resistance movement using advanced martial arts, which he was taught serving the very regime he is to help overthrow.
